RainCode offers Automatic migration of your Progess 4GL application to .NET.

RainCode Progress system will convert to a flexible .NET architecture using SQL Server or to any relational database. Its parsers will read the entire application, perform sophisticated global analysis and produce a strictly equivalent NET system using C#, retaining most of the structure of the original system, except for the SQL accesses which will be centralized in DAOs (Data Access Objects) for a clear separation between business logic and persistence. The RainCode solution is a reliable, time-efficient, cost-efficient and comprehensive way to move critical applications into the 21st century.

The special features of the Progress database access become standard C# Data Access Objects. Complex database accesses are optimized to produce efficient SQL code. All Progress 4GL is translated without intervention by programmers. The Result is object-oriented code maintainable by C# and Progress programmers. Advanced Progress features are supported, including dynamic primitives, temporary tables, streams, complex event handling, etc.
